Ahhh, what a wonderful post. I really can't wait to do this meme---such interesting questions.

And yes, I whole-heartedly agree with #2. Summer just isn't summer if you haven't felt hot sand on your skin, tasted fresh crabmeat, and drank a cold beer or two in the company of friends.

1.It’s not fall in DC until... I've had to wear a jacket to work 3 days in a row. then i finally give up and admit it's no longer summer.

2.What do you need to do in the waning days of summer for it to feel complete? one more beach outing is helpful; getting into the city to do something outside (free concert / paddleboating / etc) also works.

3. The person I know is wrong for me but about whom I frequently think after a break-up is _____________? my Bad Ex, who i do not at ALL want to be with, but with whom things were the best they've ever been w/a guy (up until the breakup, naturally).

4. If you could only attend one major sporting event what would it be? definitely pro-football. no question. :-)

5. Assuming that you write an anonymous or partially anonymous blog, by what non-physically identifying characteristics might you be identified in a bar? i have my picture up on my blog.. :-) but if you hear someone laughing too loudly in a bar? might be me..

6. Most blogs cover some sort of niche – personal, political, dating, culinary, etc. What topic, if any, would you like to address on your blog but doesn’t fit into your niche? this is where having a COMPLETELY non-cohesive blog comes in handy. i can write about whatever trickles lethargically through my head on any given day..!

7.If you could manipulate the time space continuum and give as many as three pieces of advice to a younger version of yourself, what advice would you give and to what age of you?
a) to the 12 yr old me: stand up to those assholes. they're all talk.
b) to the 16 yr old me: you'll Become A Woman some day, honestly. you'll even get boobs. hang in there.

8. Who among your friends do you really wish had a blog because their stories, or perspective on something ought to be shared? oh my god, my best friend & boss. she is the most ridiculous person i know.

9. If you were to take an e-cation (vacation from the trappings of our electronic world,) and assuming that employment obligations would allow it, how long of a break could you take? What would you miss the most, the least? about a month for me, too. i was offline for the better part of 3 weeks this summer, and i missed my interactions with specific people more than i missed the internet at large.

10. On September 11th of this year, I will be attending a couple of parties and am somewhat conflicted by the fact that this ignoble anniversary shall pass with it being just another day in the eyes of many (and in some ways my own eyes as well.) Thoughts?
i think the phrase "never forget" is kind of.. i don't know what word i'm looking for, but i think it is virtually impossible for anyone who saw the planes hit the towers to EVER forget what happened. i don't need a specific day to make sure i won't forget that, believe me.

11. How high are your walls? Who was the last person to scale them? What tools should would-be climbers have on their belt?
oh, they're high. the Bad Ex was the last (and only!) one to successfully climb them completely. tools needed: patience, the ability to show me more love than i can show you at first, and cuddling.

12.	The sexiest thing a man can say to you (or has said to you) is... i haven't been able to stop thinking about you / what you did last night / what you wore last night / etc all day long. ;-)
