I had a Michael Jackson ‘Thriller’ Doll. I remember sitting in front of the TV waiting for the premier of the Thriller video. I was in 3rd grade.

I never had a doll, but I may or may not have had a red leather jacket that bore a slight resemblance to his from that era.

I think a lot of people are feeling the loss today and wishing him peace.

I’ve had so many conversations about him with so many different people and I think that is among the strongest testimonies to the breadth of his legacy.

The first album purchase without the meddling of parents is a moment in life to remember, and a moment that is probably lost in these days of download.

I think the last sentence is the sentiment shared by most thinking, feeling people.

If he never had it in this world (from outer appearances how could he have) I really hope that he finds it in the next.
